Now that I have the mp3 player how do I get the MP3's?

You can get MP3's almost anywhere on the Internet. There are MP3 search engines which are specifically designed for locating MP3's, you can go on Internet Relay Chatting programs and have people send them to you or you can get them through FTP sites. While it is often hard to get into these sites, they are extremely popular, a little skill and a lot of luck can get you what you want. You can also go into a normal search engine like www.altavista.com and do a search for mp3s while book marking the good sites, keep going back to these sites for newer releases.

If you would like to download Cool Kids By Screeching Weasel then you can click here. Remember this file is for evaluation purposes only and must be deleted within 24 hours unless you own the Original CD. Once it is finished downloading you can then play the song by running your MP3 player and selecting the song to be played.

How Do I Make MP3s?

With the right software it is very easy to create, or "rip", your own MP3 files. The software used for creating MP3 files reads the data from the music compact disc and encodes it in MP3 format. Using WinDAC32 with MPEG Compressor (a very good program) is a very effective method of creating MP3s. On a Pentium II - 266 MHz with 64 MB of RAM and a 24x CD-ROM, encoding a song takes less time than the length of the song itself.
